Genshin Impact is a game centered on elemental systems. Each character possesses an affinity with one of four elements, which passively combine into Elemental Resonance buffs.
Ayato offers exceptional teamwide Energy production with her skillful Skill and burst damage. She makes for an excellent addition to Pyro teams, especially when combined with Bennett or Xiangling for off-field Hydro application.
1. Hydro
Hydro is a strong damage element, that pairs perfectly with most of Genshin Impact’s other elements. Cryo can add even more damage by freezing enemies; adding in an Anemo character adds value as they reduce enemy CC while providing increased personal damage output.
This team can quickly clear most content. By using both Pyro and Hydro characters to trigger Vaporize reactions when two Pyro characters come together, this team enables an instant Vaporize reaction that leads to vaporization of an area of space.
Kamisato Ayaka serves as the main DPS on this team, featuring impressive AoE Hydro applications and powerful burst attacks. Venti provides cover against light enemies while Kaeya generates Energy that can be fed back into Ayaka to speed up her Reactions faster.
2. Melt
Genshin Impact players must become acquainted with its hit count mechanic when creating and playing their characters, as it allows access to more powerful skills while also determining how much damage certain enemies and bosses cause. As Xiangling is not known to take much damage herself, having a team that can strengthen her CRIT, EM and ATK% is of vital importance – something a Kitain Cross Spear, Favonius Lance or high refine Wavebreaker Fin can do.
An impressive hit count is also key to activating Elemental Resonance, an attack-boosting ability. Klee can count on having reliable support characters who will protect her against enemy crowd control while providing energy when she needs it.
3. Overload
Klee can be an ideal way to enter advanced team building in Genshin Impact. Her main drawback, unlike most carries, lies in her inability to deliver any sort of one-shot damage; rather, her potential lies in frontloaded damage during her Skill and Burst attacks, when used against appropriate team compositions.
Therefore, she pairs well with teams that utilize Hydro, such as Xingqiu or Yelan. Furthermore, she requires an off-field character with Electro experience like Fischl or Beidou for use as off-field applications of Electro. Furthermore, pure Pyro teams that can supply her energy during her Skill and Burst is ideal – typically these teams feature Bennett for energy generation while Anemo support helps mitigate interruption issues for her build.
4. Overvape
The Overvape strategy seeks to deal high damage through reactions. For best results, use with a support who can apply different elements and trigger multiple reactions at the same time. It is an ideal option for newcomers or those unwilling to invest too many shards into powerful 5-star characters.
Yanfei makes an excellent team captain when combined with Jean’s Viridescent Venerer as they can both provide team buffing and healing functions for her teammates. Chongyun and Qiqi may also work well since both can utilize various elementals.
Yoimiya is an ideal character to implement this strategy as she provides excellent energy production via A4 and Elemental Skill, grouping effectively, and has high personal damage through Reactions on her kit. Her only drawback is her Burst only providing small ATK buffs to teammates; however this could be mitigated through using Fischl’s passive to generate energy or Kokomi providing VV shred to create balance within the team.5.
5. Vaporize
Early characters released in Genshin Impact were generalists that tried to fulfill multiple roles. This is particularly evident among 4-stars such as Xingqiu and Bennett, 5-stars like Venti and Kazuha and even 6-star characters such as Lyney and Diluc.
At first glance, creating Genshin Impact accounts can become habitually repetitive; some players even remain in them past Adventurer Rank! One way to combat this problem is experimenting with various elements, reactions and weapons; for instance Xiangling fits well in Vaporize-focused teams due to her off-field damage output and Jumpy Dumpy energy generation capability; additionally she can take advantage of Venti’s Wind Grand Ode which refunds 15 Flat Energy back and boosts team Anemo Particle production!
